To download: click on the selected driver, decompress the file(s) with Zipit or Stuffit ...The standard (non-color) PPDs are set up to configure the RIP for when the separations are being created on the front end or if the work is strictly monochrome. The Color PPDs have the Color Model set up to get the RIP to create the separations, and so they should be used when you are sending composite color files to the RIP. The Kanji PPDs have the extra information about the standard Kanji fonts that are available on the Kanji RipExpress RIPs. The Quark 4+ PPDs have been produced to be used solely from within QuarkXPress™ 4 or later, the appropriate 'regular' PPD should be used when the printer driver is installed and the Windows printer is created or from within the MacIntosh chooser and printer setup. The reason for the separate Quark PPDs is to allow the selection of the correct printer resolution from within QuarkXPress™ as the standard ones only allow the default resolution to be selected.
