TRAKmate 2 Automatic Plate Loading System

Panther TRAKmate® II AutoLoader ™ integrates with the Ultra Series Panther FasTRAK® Violet CTP platesetter to provide a fast, inexpensive, automatic, and unattended Computer-To-Plate production system.

Panther TRAKmate 2 supports the full range of media sizes imaged by FasTRAK CTP, from plates as small as 12 x 15 inches (304 x 381 mm), up to 24.6 x 38 inches (625 x 965 mm). Plate thickness may range from 0.008 to 0.012 inches (0.20 to 0.30 mm). TRAKmate 2 monitors the status of the FasTRAK Platesetter and loads the next plate as soon as imaging is completed. The Platesetter accepts the new plate and uses a highly reliable opto-mechanical system for alignment and positioning, insuring repeatability for color registration of ±25 µm (±0.001 inches).

Simple Design Offers High Throughput

Its simple design delivers throughput in excess of 250 plates per hour. TRAKmate 2 monitors FasTRAK CTP status and a pneumatic system lifts each plate from the stack and positions it to allow FasTRAK CTP to image the next plate as soon as imaging of the previous plate is completed. The next plate is ready for insertion into the FasTRAK CTP in less time than it takes to image a plate.

The TRAKmate 2 will work with or without slip sheets. Most CTP plates are packaged with paper slip sheets to protect the sensitive emulsion layer of each plate. The Panther TRAKmate 2 removes slip sheets with no degradation in throughput. Slip sheets are deposited in a bin that can be emptied without exposing the unused plate supply. If your plates do not require slip sheets, the TRAKmate 2 will switch autmatically to run without slipsheet removal. Since the slip sheets are optically sensed, the TRAKmate 2 will automatically handle extra or missing slip sheets.

The Panther TRAKmate 2 operates in a yellow safelight environment while plates are loaded. Since no plate carts or cassettes are needed, less floor space is required.

Holds up to 1000 plates

TRAKmate 2 capacity is 1000 .012 inch plates. Plates of any supported sizes are placed directly on the table inside the unit. Plates can be loaded from either side of the unit to better accommodate any space restrictions.

Dual stack option

A dual stack option allows a second stack of plates to be placed on top of an existing stack providing an alternate plate size.
